ABOUT ME

​My name is Mike Salomon and I am an educator and photographer in the Shenandoah Valley. I had two goals in my life. To become the teacher that I needed growing up and to find ways to spend as much time as I could outside. 

I always had an interest in photography, however never owned a camera. One day I woke up to an unexpected snow day and decided to venture out to a near by computer store. After looking around, I decided to purchase a camera on a whim.  It was very much an impulse purchase. In the 5+ years since then, I have taught myself how to bring together my passion for technology and the outdoors.  I enjoy waking up early to take photos of the first light and staying up late to see what the world looks like at night.  I invite you to follow along on my photography journey!
